So... if there was an entry for yesterday, does that mean something else odd should have appeared on site? Fabric and tin box? That's a bit random. Maybe I'll go have a scout around and see what I can see...

Oh, have only just found all these further details about what has been happening - I replied to the mug comments before seeing all this about the diary. This is all very strange - I have to say there's clearly something going on which is very worrying as what else might disappear next. Don't you think we should call the police Cath - at the moment there's nothing of any great value which has disappeared, so I'm not sure they would want to spend time investigating - but who knows what might disappear next? I'm afraid I'm still trying to catch up after mother's fall, but the diary entries seem to suggest other things are likely to happen if only some of the items in the diary have been discovered so far. Could you check out the Showman's Wagon Anna - it's the only other one which might fit as far as I can see - in terms of Circus Leader's Home. Sorry to hear about your mum, Simon. Hope she's ok. :/ I'll go look at the showman's wagon, sure. Though I'm taking a brolly because the weather is shocking. EDIT: There doesn't look to be anything out of the ordinary in the wagon? Nothing that screams "I'm not supposed to be in here!!!" anyway. :/

Could someone go and check the Showman's Wagon again? The entry that mentioned it was on 16/8 which was Monday. I know Anna went and looked the other day but that was before Monday so if things are supposed to turn up on the dates given in the diary, it wouldn't have been there when she checked.

Thank you Anna, as you'll have heard from the staff, the reason I've been off is mother went down hill fairly fast - the spell in hospital and the fall rather disorientated her, and at her age it can be difficult to get used to being moved around and seeing lots of new people. After rather a difficult weekend when Lillian and Trevor (my sister and second husband) arrived from Kent and harrangued me about not being able to manage we finally agreed to move mother into a residential home on the understanding that if she improves and can get walking and looking after herself again, she'll come home. I'm rather exhausted as a result.
Nobody reported today that anything unusual appeared in the Showman's Wagon - I did look in myself when taking someone round who might be funding one of our new projects to move another building that's under threat, but it was only a cursory glance - he looked in while I just indicated the quality of the painted ceilings and walls imitating 18th century French chateaux decoration, for what I think our American colleagues would call an early Winnebago.
One small little enquiry, Anna, we originally called this project Artefacts and Stories (or possibly Artifacts and Stories) - I thought as well as photographing the items you were going to research a little of their history for when the new website goes live and we can have some highlights items which we can bring alive. I've seen lots of photography - are we progressing the research as well? If you do find anything in the Wagon when you're in tomorrow, perhaps you can come and let me know - and also tell me if the Professor has commented any further since the discovery of the diary? He may feel he can explain it.

Hi everyone; sorry for the lack of life on the forums! The gang have been away on holiday (poor them, with all that rain!) but they're back tomorrow so they'll be on the case again then.
I was planning on venturing out to look in the Showman's Wagon again today but it's been chucking it down with rain this afternoon so I never got around to it. I'll get them on it first thing tomorrow though.

Hi guys, we're back! Had a fab almost-week in Devon, despite the rain with my girlies. Yay for holidays, boo for rainy weather.
Anyway, we'll get onto your list of things right away! Showmans first... And I'll have a quick scout around to see if I find anything else out of the ordinary too.

We looked in the Showmans Waggon and in the bedroom bit we found... The back of the page is for Saturday and Sunday but there's nothing written on it. It's like it's been torn from a diary. I also had a bit of a brainwave that the tin box might be the prefab, so we went and looked around in there too. In the wardrobe in the main bedroom we found this... It's a skirt! Bea wants it, I think... it's a bit garish for me. There's no dates on it or anything, just the washing label. But it doesn't look like anything that was fashionable in the 1950s... or now, for that matter. It's chucking it down with rain again, by the way. Weatherfail.

I do want that skirt! I do, I do! It's almost my size, too. Anyway, I was flicking through the diary again (you know the one we found the other week, the 2010 one) and a piece of paper fell out of the back. I haven't a clue what to make of it. It's all creased like it's been folded and unfolded loads of times, and it's got weird bits of pictures and letters and stuff on. Here's a picture of both sides of the paper. Make of it what you will...?

Looks like a schematic or diagram of some sort. Could you try folding it along the creases and see if the drawings match up?

I'll give it a go but I make no promises! I've never been great at puzzles like that. Rubix cubes were beyond me.
It's hard to see which way you're supposed to fold anything, they've been folded both ways it seems which is kind of odd. Maybe you can make more than one thing of it?

At first I thought that drawing might be a blue print for a building or something (bird's eye view), but the more I look at it, the more I think it's some sort of machine (time machine, maybe? ) - maybe it can be folded two ways to represent front and back views of the machine? I see and F and an R on oposite pages, which could be short for something like Front and Rear, so maybe if you tried folding the paper using that as a guide, Anna? There looks like there's some kind of calculations going on too, but it's difficult to know what that's about without seeing the complete drawing.

Puzzles! Eeep. I love puzzles! I'll come over tonight Anna and have a go! Maybe I can make some sense out of it somehow. Not that I ever solved the Rubix either, but that's not the point...

Sure! I think you'll do better at it than me... Come over after seven, unless you want tea. We're having lamb burgers!

I still can't believe you had a meeting without me. You guys fail. >.>
Bet if I'd seen it, I would have been able to crack it.

Sorry Bea. You can come over tonight, if you want? I have no idea what tea is, but I'll find some ice cream for afters!
